“Gia and Shane book a stay with an Airbnb in hopes of healing their fractured marriage. The eccentric homeowner, Helen, greets them and reveals a ghost story that comes with the house. That evening, as a storm rages and the guests are trapped inside, Gia begins to unravel. Flashbacks mix with the present and soon Gia wonders what is real and what isn’t.”

“Calm Before” was written and directed by Tara Lynn Marcelle and produced by Vanessa Ore and Catherine Trail, both of whom star in the film. Dave served as Director of Photography. During pre-production scouting, multiple phone conversations, and e-mail threads, Dave and Tara quickly realized they had a very similar vision for the aesthetic of the film.

The full cast includes Michael Lombardi, David Bianchi, Leah Wasilewski, Karen Abercrombie, Brad Coffey, and Darby Camp.
