Virginia’s Blue Ridge – Behind the Scenes

I love Virginia’s Blue Ridge

Virginia’s Blue Ridge – Behind the Scenes - Dave Perry CinematographerI have lived in and traveled to other places, and always love returning to Virginia. Virginia’s Blue Ridge in particular calls me. When I travel and see the Blue Ridge Mountains creeping above the horizon on I-64 or I-81, or the curvaceous topography from the air, giving way to the Roanoke Valley, I always get a warm feeling, like reuniting with an old friend. When I get an opportunity to work on a campaign to invite the rest of the world to experience that same feeling, it’s icing on the cake in a line of work that in and of itself I enjoy. The year 2014 started of with a bang when DPC-LLC won the bid to handle the digital film production for the Virginia’s Blue Ridge Campaign with Access Advertising and PR  and Mikula/Harris in Roanoke Virginia. Principal photography began April 3, 2014 and these are some photos from behind the scenes of production. Keep checking back for more shots. Be sure to watch the Director’s Cut and TV :30 of “Blue Ridge Standard Time”.
